The Alliance of Vengeance is a team of powerful leaders and beings formed about the same time as The Slayers. The Alliance was formed after the failed attempt of the wizards to take over Latalia. The forces of darkness saw that they would not be able to rule the world so easily. So they called for some of the most powerful beings to come to a summit and decide what action to take.

There were six members that attended that summit. These six beings formed an Alliance to symbolize the unbreakable ties that bound their forces together. After the formation of this Alliance the forces of darkness fought with such organized efforts that many thought it would prove the undoing of all who followed the Eternal One.

The Six Were as follows.

Regal:

Regal lived in Latalia as a farmers daughter until the wizards came and changed her life forever. Seduced by a lust for power she decided to become a witch. This decision distanced her from Sterling the man she loved and forced her to leave her home town. She wanted Sterling to follow her but Sterling refused saying that by becoming a witch she had destroyed the girl he loved. Blinded by her pride Regal then swore that she would either turn Sterling into a wizard or destroy him in the attempt. After traveling deep within the Latalian wilderness she was tormented with the loss of the one she loved and drowned the feelings in her lust for power. Soon she became one of the most powerful witches. She was sent to represent all wizards at the summit. Though being small and slender she is one of the most powerful fighters in the Alliance of Vengeance this combined with the fact that she had a former history with Sterling the leader of the Slayers, she was elected leader of the Alliance of Vengeance.

Evlon the Mad Scientist:

Evlon was once a great Mayor of The City of Arkaria as well as leader of the Arkarian scientific community. But when a certain young chemist by the name of Preston Ranrick tried to show him the error of his scientific ways he was forced to question his beliefs. Not wishing to see the truth he closed his mind to anything but what his own mind said was to be true. When Preston proved his scientific theories Evlon was forced deeper into his own mind as a defense against the truth he hated so much. Soon he was forcing himself to believe so many lies that he was struck with madness and began to experiment with diabolical arts. His most notable was his skill in creating skeletons. This combined with his reputation as a mayor caused him to be thought of as the key to uniting Arkarians with the skeleton armies so he was accepted into the Alliance of Vengeance. His crazed passion, unpredictable diabolical practices, technological genius, and unconventional cleverness make him one of the most feared of the Alliance.

Welock Andes:

After he thought Presto to be dead, Welock went back to his quiet life and went to the girl he had fought so hard to win. Arania. But Arania had joined the countless others in their investigation of the dark arts of Magic. and a week before their wedding Arania was attacked by a Latalian strike force. She cast a spell over herself which accidentally turned her into stone. Welock searched in vain for a way to lift the spell. Thinking the Latalians responsible for Arania’s current state he cultivated an anger for all Latalians that grew into a hatred so powerful that it caused him to seek the destruction of the Latalian country. The way he saw it the Latalians had given Arania and himself a fate worse than death. He then learned that Sterling was one who could destroy magical spells. Blinded by his anger and thinking that Sterling would never do such a thing willingly Welock swore to capture Sterling dead or alive. When he heard about a group fighting to defeat Latalia and capture the man who could save his wife, he joined. Due to Welock’s great intelligence as a detective and strategic thinker, his knowledge of weapons, as well as high rank with Arkarian officials, vast conections with weapon smuggling groups and large fortune caused him to be accepted into the Alliance of Vengeance. Welock may be only fighting for the woman he loves, but he will do anything no mater how vile to return her to normal.

Jacob Wer:

Once a Nastorian mine owner and organized crime member Jacob Wer was one of the richest men in the land. But his obsession with silver caused him to work his miners so hard that he made his mine unstable and killed two hundred of his men. Looked upon as a murderer he was lynched and sentenced to be devoured by wolves. After withstanding several terrible wounds and near death the wolves were killed by a wizard. Jacob pleaded for his the wizard to help his wound stricken body. So in the light of the full moon the wizard cast a spell of regeneration on Jacob Wer. But what Jacob regenerated into was not what he expected. He turned into a monstrous being that many would soon know to fear and hate. He became a being so large and powerful it is said that it could can crack trees in its bare hands. It had razor sharp claws and teeth and red beady eyes. Some say that Jacob turns into this beast when the full moon is out. Others say he can turn into the monster any time and when the full moon is out he has too. It is said that the beast has a weakness to the silver that he loves so much. After several years in the northern mountains of Nastoria Jacob Wer was summoned to the summit and joined the Alliance of Vengeance. He was accepted partly due to his power but also because of his ties with several Nastorian bandits as well as The Abominable Snow Men in the north.

Lord Darknor:

Once a great Latalian Lord, Lord Darknor let his lust for pleasure and indulgence drive him to murder several men. Yet his skill at stealth and agility kept him one step ahead from all who hunted him. It seemed every month he would fall in love with a different girl and have to kill some man who already had his eye on the girl. But soon Darknor had done so many evil deeds that the demon within began to be manifested in his outward appearance. Soon not even the most disreputable girls would love him and all men despised him. In a depressed rage he began to kill any girl who did not love him. By this time he had grown so evil and his body grown so demonic that he began to look and sound like a phantom demon monster. His teeth grew sharp, his figures grew into claws his agility and strength grew and his heart turned into a burning black fire of passionate evil that shrouded him in a darkness that hid him from sight. He had become a devil both inside and out. When he heard of the summit

Gremlick:

One of the first Gargoyles to ever come to life, Gremlick, blinded by his desire for freedom chose to follow the life of the Gargoyle in defyance of The Eternal One. After being banished to the earth he moved from town to town tormenting people and causing a chaotic reign wherever he flew. Somehow Lord Darknor summoned or found the creature and made him his assistant. When Darknor joined the Alliance of Vengeance Gremlick did as well. Despite his incredible small size, Gremlick is an agile speedy clever imp that has such uncontrolled chaos in his soul that can harass a hundred men without being wounded. Being useful as a scout and spy Gremlick was a deadly addition to the Alliance. Thought Gremlick is no longer Darknor’s assistant he still goes an many missions with him.
